One of the most awaited parts of Philippine Fashion Week is the unveiling of the veteran designers’ collections. Shanon Pamaong, one of these veteran designers, is a Canadian-Filipino international professional fashion designer who found inspiration in Middle East haute couture. He called his designs in the Fashion Week “Dubai Holiday”. The collection offered structured, flowing pieces and finely tailored suits accentuated with pleats, ruffles, and rosettes. Pamaong chose a color scheme of black and white to subtle colors of mustard yellow and violet. Every ensemble created an “oomph” effect without an overwhelming feel despite the mixture of sheer and thick fabrics. Beehive and damask pattern imprinted fabrics, curved lines adorned dresses and metallic suits added a contemporary feel to the collection.
