Putting on hold his attempt to finish a degree in nursing, Odelon Simpao left Cagayan de Oro and flew to Manila with guts and intuition in tow to pursue a career in fashion. At the start of his fashion career, Odelon concentrated in designing men’s clothing. While refining his skills, Simpao stayed with Onesimus for a few years as the head designer. For Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2010, he once again showcased his talent through his collection inspired by the Lion City’s (Singapore) Orchard road. His women models donned bright floral colored ensembles intricately embellished with beads and sequins. His interpretation of infrastructures and people was reflected in the flattering silhouettes of his dresses and tailored suits. Line patterns dominated most of the pieces, creating a sense of stability and an impression of a well-thought of and creative collection.
