Alex Pigao became known as the winner of the MEGA Young Designers Competition in 2002 and recently received the Best Collection award during the Philippine Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2009. This year he brought another bombshell in the world of Philippine Fashion through his PFW 2010 Holiday assemblage. Inspired by European couture, he describes his designs as ‘flirty but not shy’. The collection featured both structured and flowing pieces in earth tones, tropical colors and metallics. Some integral elements to the outfit are the head and neck pieces. Though the collection seems to be a little bit overwhelming, fashion icons salute Alex for his impeccable craftsmanship.
