If Jona Ballaran’s collection was creamy and seemingly innocent, then Jontie Martinez's collection is its unabashedly fierce sister. With a collection entitled Barcelona, it is but natural to think of the boldness of matadors, the unbridled passion of the color red.
Jontie says, "I was inspired by that city's culture, architecture, and women. The iconic flamenco dancer is my muse, as seen in my formal wear, which makes use of black and red hues. Skirts are accented with layers of embroidered organza ruffles. The hourglass silhouette is ever-present, with gowns hugging the woman's curves and exposing the shoulders."
