‘OnyokPH’ threathens CARAGA

Tropical Depression ‪‎Onyok‬ maintained its strength and direction as it continues to pose threat over the CARAGA Region.

Onyok has maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center and is moving to west direction at 17 kph.

As of 4am, based on all available data, Onyok was located at 405 km East of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.

Public Storm Warning Signal (PSWS) No. 1 has been raised over the following areas: ‪‎Agusan del Norte‬, Agusan del Sur‬, Bukidnon‬, ‪Camiguin‬, ‪‎Compostela Valley,‬ ‪Davao Oriental‬, Davao del Norte‬, ‪Davao del Sur‬, Dinagat‬ Province, Lanao del Norte‬, Lanao del Sur‬, ‎Misamis Occidental‬, ‪Misamis Oriental‬, North Cotabato‬, Surigao del Norte‬, ‎Surigao del Sur‬ incl. ‎Siargao‬ Island, ‪Zamboanga del Norte‬, ‪Zamboanga del Sur‬, Zamboanga Sibugay‬.

These areas under PSWS No. 1 should expect wind speeds of up to 30-60 kph within 36 hours. This may cause some broken tree branches and slight damage to structures made of light materials.
