Boy Abunda is a television host, publicist, talent manager and author. In 2012, Abunda put up the Make Your Nanay Proud (MYNP) Foundation, a civic organization composed of “Filipinos who love their mothers and who want to honor them by helping themselves, others, their communities and the country.” Abunda’s advocacy campaign was inspired by his mother, Licerna Romerica Abunda, a school teacher of more than 40 years. He said that the organization aims to do their part in nation-building.
