Jim Brickman: The Platinum Tour will feature international actor and recording artist John Trones and Philippine pride Lea Salonga. The concert will also include special performances by Aia De Leon and Lougee Basabas.

Brickman’s music has always been linked to love and romance. Some of his love song hits include “Valentine”, “Angel Eyes”, “The Gift”, “If You Believe”, “Love of My Life”, “By Heart”, “Destiny”, “Hero’s Dream”, “Partners in Crime”, “Simple Things”, “’Til I see You Again”, and “My Love is Here”.

The musician appreciates the genuine warmth and welcome that he receives from Filipinos whenever he visits the Philippines.

“I think there’s such appreciation with romance and love and beauty in the Philippines. So that is why, I think, love songs last forever,” he said on Philstar.com.

“There’s such appreciation for the beauty of melodies and love song,” he said. “No matter what the changes are in the music business, they still have appreciation for the beauty of the love song. I feel like, whenever I meet my Filipino fans, they’re so incredibly kind and supportive and musical,” he added.

Brickman is looking forward to performing again with Tony Award-winner Miss Lea Salonga. They worked together in California just a year ago.

The one-night romantic concert at The Theatre at Solaire Resort & Casino Entertainment in Parañaque is produced by Grand Leisure Corp., the same production outfit that brought The Air Supply, The Stylistics and John Ford Coley to the country.

According to Philstar.com, 24-year-old crossover-classical singer and Asia’s Got Talent (AGT) third place winner Gerphil Flores will also be joining the Canadian record producer in one of the overseas stops of his Asian concert series.

“Actually, yung promise niya before, hindi talaga ako nag-e-expect. Sabi ko, bahala na kung gagawin po talaga niya. Of course, I don’t want to expect something that might not come. So I thought, it was better to be surprised by whatever was going to happen. If nothing, it means something else is meant to happen to me. But by God’s grace, they (David Foster’s team) communicated with me and that’s why this is a dream come true,” Flores said on Philstar.com.

Singin’ In The Rain – Opens August 20

London West End’s musical Singin’ in The Rain will open on August 20, 2015 at the Theater in Solaire in Parañaque City. It is from the producers of phenomenal musicals such as Cats, Mamma Mia!, The Phantom of the Opera, and Wicked.

Singin’ in The Rain revolves around the story of famous silent movie actor Don Lockwood, who was at the height of his career. Things turned from sweet to sour when Hollywood shifted from silent films to sound. People became excited with the idea of finally being heard talking, singing, and dancing on movies. The development pushed Lockwood’s silent world back.

The 1952 film from MGM Studios starred Gene Kelly as Don Lockwood and Debbie Reynolds as Kathy Selden.

The romantic comedy production features classics like “Good Morning”, “Make ‘em Laugh”, “Moses Supposes” and “Singin’ in the Rain”. The audience can look forward to the famous dance routines.

“This production of Singin’ in the Rain was one of the hottest tickets in the West End during its run, and I’m sure it will generate the same buzz in The Philippines. I am absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to bring one of my favorite musicals to Manila audiences — this show is a winner because it sends people out of the theater in the happiest of moods!” Presenter and CEO of Lunchbox Theatrical Productions James Cundall said on Philstar.com.
