Wearable devices or wearables have made a mark the world of technology. Wearables were embraced by runners and other athletes. The most common are headphones but the most popular ones are watches.

In times like these where there is a demand to have everything at your fingertips, these wearable devices may be small in size but have a huge role in integrating technology to ones daily activity. Nike+ Fuelband SE

This athletic bangle can display time, steps and calories burned. It may be synced wirelessly via Bluetooth and compatible with both iOS and Android users. Nike+Fuelband users can interact online with other users to create or join a group. This band is a bit pricey than other wearables in the market. It can be purchased at any Nike online store.

Sony Smartband SWR10

Unlike other wearables, Sony Smart band keeps track not only your physical activities but also your social and entertainment activities. With its sleek, innovative and waterproof design, this device has a lot of potential. Stat lovers will love the graphs. This band can log information about your activities even when you are out of range. The device will automatically sync your info when you re-connect.

Samsung Gear Fit Smartband

This is a perfect example of a fitness band and a smartwatch in one. Design-wise, the Samsung Gear has an AMOLED screen and interchangeable straps for a savvier look. It is waterproof (same with Sony) and dust proof as well. Aside from the built-in heart rate monitor, this device also comes with a timer and a stopwatch. It also helps you monitor your sleeping and exercise habits. The only downside, is that it is restricted to Samsung’s S Health app.

Misfit Shine

Compared to other smartbands available in the market, this is probably the only activity tracker out there that has an elegant design. It includes wristband mounts so you can use it as a bracelet and a magnetic clasp that you can attach to any clothing. This is good for swimmers as it is fully-waterproof. This allows you to set and monitor your fitness goals via the dashboard. The Misfit Shine is compatible with iOS
and iPhone users.

Cookoo Watch

Like the Misfit Shine, this gadget also is an exclusive smartband for iPhone users. It is a wearable extension of your iPhone that can wirelessly dock and become a “second screen”. The design is unremarkable because of its big and retro look. You might even mistake it as a regular wristwatch. Feature wise, the Cookoo Life app is capable of notifications for incoming and missed calls, Calendar reminders, SMS and email notifications or battery indicatr. It also has the functionality of remotely taking a photo or pause a song.

Getting in shape and staying fit requires discipline, motivation and determination. Some people work fine on their own traditional pace while others need a push to keep them going.

You might be asking yourself, do I really need another gadget in my day by day living? The answer is really up to you. It will all boil down on how determine you are in achieving your health goals.

Whether your goal is to maintain a healthy lifestyle or a full fitness transformation, these gadgets can help lighten our daily activities.
