President Benigno Aquino III's second State of the Nation Address (SONA) trended on Twitter hours before he delivered his speech yesterday afternoon.

Keywords “PNoy,” “SONA,” and hashtag #sona2011 went up on Twitter's trending topic list, generating over 17,000 tweets or seven tweets per second throughout his less than an hour speech.

Meanwhile, after a reported rift between presidential sister Kris Aquino and Makati mayor Junjun Binay due to a comment on marriage, Kris's tweet may mean the two are on good terms again.

Kris tweeted that she was sitting beside the Makati mayor during her brother's speech yesterday.

“Yes, magkatabi kami ni Mayor Jun Binay. Ate (Ballsy Aquino-Cruz) asked him gusto ba nyang magtabi kami para peace na? Friends na kami. Peace on earth,” Kris tweeted.

The two had a previous misunderstanding regarding Binay's statement in the Philippine Star article "To wed or not to wed: Hayden & Vicki, Junjun & Kris" where he was asked if he has plans to marry again after his wife's death.

“Why do people marry? Because of lack of knowledge...Why do people separate? Because of lack of experience...Why do people remarry? Because of loss of memory,” Binay said.

Kris reacted, saying, "I know he tried to be witty, but it offended me."

Although the Makati mayor apologized to Kris, the actress decided to “just avoid each other so no more talk about us.”

But Binay clarified in a statement that he “has no immediate plans of remarrying because his wife whom he loved dearly had just passed away” and he “needs to take care of his kids and has a city to manage as a mayor.”
