Cristalle emotional on Vicki-Hayden wedding; Kho: Quark is a “real man”

Cristalle Henares, daughter of celebrity doctor Vicki Belo, became emotional when media asked for her reaction on her mother's upcoming wedding with Hayden Kho.

In an interview, Cristalle said with teary eyes that she and her brother Quark had known about the engagement since December 2010.

“It’s also good that our family has known about it and kept the information within us for six months,” she said. “At least I had time to get used to the idea already and I am no longer as emotional about it like the first time I have heard of it.”

However, Cristalle broke into tears when asked about her mother's post-wedding plans.

Cristalle said she loves her mother so much that she's “willing to accept whatever makes her happy.”

“My mom is a princess. All her life, she has been a princess,” said Cristalle. “She deserves nothing less,” she added.

Cristalle also defended her brother, who gave a controversial comment on the wedding announcement.

When news about Belo's engagement with Kho broke out, Quark said, "I’ll still be keeping watch on Hayden though and if he hurts her again, I think I really will have to kill him.”

Quark has been very protective of his mom, she said.

“Our parents separated when we were still very small and he has been the man of the house for the longest time,” she added.

According to Cristalle, Quark felt he cannot take care of their mother anymore because he will be staying in the US for two years, which caused him to say things.

“But he already said sorry to my mom and they already understand each other,” Cristalle added.

Hayden: Quark's a “real man”

Hayden Kho also commented on Quark's remark, saying it was just a “natural reaction for a son who loves his mom very much.”

“The statement has two meanings: one, if I hurt his mom again, he will give me some kind of suffering that I deserve. Two, he loves his mother so much, he is not afraid to say something like that on TV,” said Kho in an interview with Inquirer's Dolly Anne Carvajal.

“It's too bad some media groups focused on the first, when there's more power in the second – a son's unwavering love for his mom,” Kho added.

“He's (Quark's) a real man,” said Kho.

Belo and Kho announced their engagement two weeks ago, not revealing details on their planned wedding.

Kho also became the talk-of-the-town when videos of him having sex with several women, among them Katrina Halili, sprawled over the online world in 2009, while still in a relationship with Belo.
