VIDEO NEWS: Software Freedom Day celebrates open source software

Software Freedom Day was celebrated last September 14 at the University of Santo Tomas (UST). Leading the event was the Computer Professionals' Union (CPU) - a nation-wide organization of ICT professionals, students and advocates seeking the advancement of ICT for society.

"Software Freedom Day (SFD) is a worldwide celebration of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS)," says the group in the SFD Philippines Facebook page. "Our goal in this celebration is to educate the worldwide public about of the benefits of using high quality FOSS in education, in government, at home, and in business."
